Calibration of shaking intensity models of the “Extremum” system to simulate loss due to the 2020 Croatia earthquakes

This paper is devoted to applications of the “Extremum” loss simulation system two damaging earthquakes which occurred in Croatia 2020. We provide a calibration procedure mathematical models used for shaking intensity simulation. The regional macroseismic field parameters, such as coefficients equation; ratio between longer (b) and shorter (a) axes higher elliptical isoseismals (the flattening k); angle that specifies orientation field, particular, azimuth axis isoseismal ellipse, were all based on extensive data acquired Balkan region an analogous area with similar seismotectonic parameters Caucasus. obtained fairly good consistency results applied impact 2020 observations, confirming model by Extremum was both reasonable effective enhancing reliability real time estimation.
